Data Entry and Management Specialist

Contract Opportunity

The Thomas Memorial Library Foundation is looking for a person to do part-time, contract work annually during the busiest months of our annual campaign: October, November, December, and January. The Foundation is seeking a team player with meticulous attention to detail for recording donations into our fundraising software and preparing acknowledgments. We anticipate 100-150 hours of work total during these months.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Thomas Memorial Library Foundation Board Annual Appeal Committee members to maintain the donor database and associated processes and work.
  • Retrieve check donations from TML and online donations from web services. 
  • Enter donor and gift data for approximately 300 donors into fundraising software. 
  • Scan checks.
  • Draft donor acknowledgement letters. 
  • Check all work for errors. 
  • Mail the signed letters (paper, envelopes, stamps are supplied).
  • Be available by email or phone during these months and promptly respond to questions from the TML Foundation contacts. 
  • Maintain confidentiality.

The ideal data entry specialist candidate has:

  • High School Diploma or higher (some college preferred).
  • Proficiency with data entry and using data management software and/or office administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, including the ability to use track changes, mail merge, and sort data.
  • Able to create PDF files.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Access to high-speed internet connection and secure location to store Foundation materials. 

The contractor will be able to work from home and will have access to a Foundation-owned computer and printer to do their work.

Compensation: $32/hour. No benefits.
