Annual Projects

and for generations to come

DISCUSSION PROGRAM

TML seeks to educate and expose patrons to a variety of opinions that various members of our community have; we do so in a safe and civil manner where all are welcome and have an opportunity to be heard and respected.

FISH TANK

The Fish Tank is a popular gathering spot for patrons of all ages, especially young families. Children are fascinated to observe the fish.
They are also taught about the aquatic creatures that live there.

MAINE WILDLIFE SERIES

Our long running, and very popular, Maine Wildlife Series introduces local residents to the amazing wildlife that often live right in their own backyard.
It helps teach us why all creatures are important to the ecosystem, along with steps we can take to help preserve their populations.
Patrons leave the programs with a new appreciation of their wild neighbors.

MUSEUM PASSES

As an institution that believes in equal access for all, regardless of socioeconomic status, TML provides various museum passes to allow patrons to experience and learn from state parks, art and historical museums for no admission charge.

MUSIC CONCERTS

TML seeks to educate and entertain the artist desires of our patrons by introducing them to various genres of music that might otherwise be unknown to them.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM PRIZE

Every summer, TML encourages reading for all ages through our Summer Reading Program. Prizes help to incentivize participation.
Studies have documented that youth who read over the summer retain more of the knowledge and skills they learned in their previous school year, putting them ahead of their non-summer reading peers.
The adult program allows adult role models in young peoples' lives to model reading habits.
